Fly Fishing Report: Pickering Creek

Posted by admin on 13 March 2009 0 Comment

Fished Pickering Creek for about 2 hours today. It was still cold in the air and the water was cold. Fish were coming up for midges and I tried several dries including trailing emergers without any luck. I then switch over to various nymphs without any luck. It was until I threw out some stoneflies that they exploded. Got 8 brown trout on various stoneflies colors and sizes.

Weather: Sunny, 40s
Water Temperature: 42 degrees
